PPL Montana offers grants for school environmental projects
As part of its annual Project Earth Environmental Education Grants
Program, PPL Montana once again is reaching out to elementary and high
schools to help support programs that will inspire students to learn
about environmental issues.

creative energy to learn about environmental issues and science and
create programs that improve Montana's wildlife, habitat, and rivers and

Fellowships & Professional Development Opportunities for New Science Teachers
First- and second-year science teachers can apply to become an Associate Fellow at the National Science Teachers Association New Science Teacher Academy for a yearlong term with access to a wide array of professional development opportunities (see website for more information). Maximum Award: yearlong fellowship. Eligibility: first- and second- year science teachers with U.S. residence.
Master of Science in Mathematics - Mathematics Education Option at Montana State University - Bozeman!
The Department of Mathematical Sciences Montana State University - Bozeman offers programs of graduate study leading to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees in Statistics and Mathematics, with options in Mathematics Education. A Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Mathematics Education is also offered in conjunction with the Department of Education.
The MSU Master of Science program in Mathematics Education has served teachers in Montana and the Northwest region of the United States for over twenty years. A distance learning component combined with the on-campus summer program now allows the content-based degree to be offered to place-bound mathematics teachers around the nation.
MSU Department of Intercollege Programs for Science Education
offers unique courses in biology, chemistry, earth science, ecology, education, environmental science, land resources, microbiology, physics, and plant sciences designed for science educators. Courses may be taken for professional development or to earn a graduate degree. We coordinate the Master of Science in Science Education (MSSE) Degree Program, sponsored by the Colleges of Agriculture, Education, Health and Human Development, Letters and Science, and Division of Graduate Education at Montana State University, sometimes called the University of the Yellowstone.

The Live Monarch Foundation (501c3) Educator Outreach Program
is providing funding for K-12 teachers and home schooling parents throughout the United States to enroll into the National Campaign: to bring Monarch Butterflies into the classroom. This program provides education and materials to strengthen the Monarch’s 3,000 mile migratory route within North America by creating self sustaining butterfly gardens and refuges.
